About The Position

As a Benefits Analyst at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in administering employee benefits programs to ensure regulatory compliance and support organizational effectiveness. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, customer service skills, and detailed knowledge of benefits administration, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to employee satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and competitive benefits design. You will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and consultants to resolve inquiries, maintain accurate documentation, and enhance benefits programs. This is a full-time onsite role located in Wheatland, PA. Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience administering defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including working with auditors, third-party administrators, and benefits consultants.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or mathematics field.
  • Working knowledge of a full spectrum of employee benefits across industries.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state laws related to health and retirement plan administration.
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration systems and basic compensation structures.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to audiences ranging from hourly employees to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Work Day
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Regular, full-time onsite attendance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a union environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollment, claims resolution, defined benefit pension, 401(k) programs, and employee communications.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and benefit vendors to resolve benefits-related matters.
  • Escalate complex issues to ensure timely and effective resolution of employee inquiries.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for all benefit plans to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assist the Director with leave of absence, time-off programs, and workers’ compensation administration.
  • Support the Director in developing and revising benefit programs by analyzing cost, regulatory requirements, employee understanding, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
