What You’ll Do The Benefits Administrator supports the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of the company’s health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs across a multi-site U.S. manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with Payroll, HR Operations, vendors, and employees to ensure benefit programs are administered accurately, compliantly, and with a high level of service. The Benefits Administrator will also contribute to special projects and new program initiatives within the benefits department, supporting research, implementation planning, and rollout activities to enhance the overall employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or analytical roles.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with experience reconciling data and identifying discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience working in HRIS and benefits vendor platforms (Dayforce experience a plus).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Support 401(k) plan administration, including eligibility tracking, contributions, and employee inquiries.
  • Process benefit enrollments, life events, and terminations accurately and timely.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data within HRIS and vendor systems; perform regular audits and reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment planning, testing, communication, and execution.
  • Respond to employee benefit questions and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors to resolve eligibility, billing, and coverage issues.
  • Prepare and analyze data for renewals, RFPs, benchmarking, and market reviews.
  • Support internal and external audits related to benefit plans.
  • Assist with compliance activities including ACA reporting support, COBRA coordination, and Form 5500 data gathering.
  • Maintain plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and required employee notices.
  • Partner with Payroll and HR Systems to ensure accurate deductions and integrations.
