About The Position

CEDP’s Benefit Enrollment program assists eligible clients in accessing a broader range of public benefits, focused initially on federal disability income support, SNAP, and tax benefits. We are seeking a Supervisor of Benefit Enrollment and Digital Equity to help us manage and continuously improve our Benefit Enrollment and Digital Equity programs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of experience in assisting clients in applying for public benefit programs, with a specific focus on SSI, SSDI, and SNAP.
  • Expertise in the application and enrollment processes for these programs, including the required documentation and eligibility criteria, preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of building new programs from the ground up.
  • Proven ability to test and learn from processes and develop new program procedures in a startup environment that requires rapid adaptation to change.
  • Excellent people management skills, including the ability to train and supervise less experienced staff in the provision of assistance in public benefit applications and appeals.
  • Demonstrated passion for social and racial justice, underpinning a commitment to fighting for the rights of vulnerable communities.
  • A strong desire to prioritize client and community needs, placing their well-being at the center of your work.
  • Strong organizational and technical abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A creative, self-driven attitude combined with a strong desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment dedicated to social justice and equity.
  • Eagerness to collaborate with local partners and engage in CEDP's community engagement strategies, actively working to integrate enrollment services into community resource networks for maximum client benefit.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the Denver Metro area and surrounding suburbs to serve clients effectively.
  • Proven ability to excel in a hybrid work environment. Support team members at least 2 days in the Denver or Colorado Springs CEDP offices.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and Google Suite is desired.
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced, all hands-on-deck environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse personal and professional backgrounds with a focus on social, racial justice, and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the first-of-its kind program in Colorado that integrates benefits enrollment and benefits appeals with a direct referral pipeline for clients at high-risk of eviction and displacement
  • Develop the tools and systems needed to provide high-quality services to clients in the public benefits application and appeals processes
  • Develop and implement equitable, client-centered processes for the EDPNA service fee model. (if applicable)
  • Develop and enhance existing workflows for the successful deployment of digital equity devices and services as outlined in relevant grants.
  • Review case-related documents developed by members of the Benefits Enrollment and Digital Equity team and provide relevant feedback and guidance
  • Create relevant training and professional development materials for staff
  • Maintain appropriate caseloads standards for each specialist.
  • Maintain monthly performance assessments for each supported team member.
  • Develop CEDP’s intake channels to ensure that we equitably and broadly reach Coloradans eligible for CEDP’s Benefit Enrollment program
  • Help determine appropriate cases and strategies to effect long-term change
  • Identify and manage referral and service partner relationships
  • Coordinate across CEDP to ensure timely tracking and reporting based on grant requirements
  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to serve clients efficiently and effectively.
  • Track key grant metrics to ensure the successful fulfillment of requirements related to team activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
