Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a Bellman. The Role The Bellman will report to the Bell Captain and will assist with luggage and transportation requirements and provide information and service to guests. The Successful candidate will be required to: Maintain a professional appearance and is always courteous, friendly, helpful and articulate to internal and external guests. Maintains professional conduct at all times. Be flexible to work various shifts within the Front of House as well as assist co-workers when business demands. Communicate with the Bell Captain and the Front of House Manager so that they are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either customers or other departments. Have excellent telephone skills with the ability to promote and inform guests of hotel services, as well as resolve any guest problems which are encountered. Be appropriately conversant with guest while providing assistance and enquires about guest satisfaction Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently maintained, assists the guests with airline, hotel, car rental, tours and restaurant reservations as requested. Ensure that all guest comments, including complaints are dealt with in an effective and timely manner in order to facilitate good guest relations and optimize guest satisfaction. Ensure that guest request from the Opera PMS traces are actioned. Ensure that the Bell Team checklists are completed and signed off Extend a welcoming greeting upon arrival to the resort. Verify the number of pieces of luggage and guest preference of golf bags location or other items. Deliver luggage to room upon guest arrival making sure that garment bags and coats are hung in the closet and suitcase are placed on rack, right side up Ensure that faxes and packages will be delivered to the guestroom within 30 minute of receipt. Ensure that car seat position, mirrors, radios and personal items are undisturbed during valet process. Manage luggage for group check-ins/check-out and announce the arrival of new guests. Assist departing guests with luggage and transportation arrangements Control all vehicles in driveway area and ensure that no unauthorized parking Maintain Door coverage at all times and valet park cars as required, Assist with the Gate duties as required Handle golf bags for arrivals/departing guests and ensures delivery to the guest room or to the Golf Course Research lost and found items for guests and provide guest luggage storage
