About The Position

Four Oaks is hiring a Behaviorist who is responsible to observe, diagnose, and treat individuals who exhibit persistent social and behavioral difficulties and who are referred for treatment. This position demonstrates the capacity to implement sustainable, tailor-made interventions that are sensitive to the cognitive, social, emotional and financial constraints of each client. Specific responsibilities include: Conducts initial consultations with the client, performing appropriate diagnostic assessments. Develops, implements and refines treatment plans to manage and target behaviors utilizing the identified treatment models. Works effectively within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining timely, valuable and effective communications. Meets with families, educators, and other collaterals to obtain insight into the client's presenting concerns and resources. Conducts observations of clients within individual and group settings. Provides training and support to staff to implement best practices and create positive change. Creates simulated conditions where observation of the client is used to gather relevant insight. Formulates an appropriate treatment plan that is sensitive to the client's cognitive, social, emotional and sensory needs. Provides treatment in line with the treatment plan, coaching participating staff, family and providers in methods to successfully interact/intervene with behaviors. Works with other professionals to ensure that proper services are being received. Prepares timely and thorough treatment notes, reports and required documentation to support the services provided. Regularly reviews treatment goals and progress, anticipating future needs and facilitating connections/interventions as needed.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Behavioral Analysis, Mental Health, Social Work Psychology or a related field with ten (10) years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional relevant certification and licensure is preferred.
