The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The RBT provides one-on-one behavioral support to help clients build communication, social, and daily living skills.

Requirements

  • Hands-on CPR Certification - Adults and Infants (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow behavior plans and take feedback from supervisors
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations, required.

  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as written by the BCBA
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy in home, school, or community settings
  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress and behaviors
  • Assist with skill acquisition programs and behavior reduction strategies
  • Follow ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, caregivers, and team members
  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings
  • Maintain current RBT certification and required documentation
