About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech III at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER plays a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of clients. This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic interventions, monitor client progress, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all individuals receiving care during Shift 1.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation procedures.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in observing and accurately documenting client behavior and progress.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans by providing direct care and support to clients.
  • Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents to ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective strategies for client care.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and activities designed to promote social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed to maintain a calm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care strategies.
  • Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and available resources to support recovery and well-being.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions and documentation.
