About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs during Shift 1. This role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management.
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health disorders.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any significant changes in condition.
  • Provide direct care and support to clients, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions to promote client engagement and progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, social workers, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Support clients in daily living activities and encourage the development of life skills.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information for care planning.
