About The Position

The Arc Mercer is a trusted leader in providing comprehensive support and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Mercer County. For over 70 years, we have been dedicated to creating a more inclusive community by empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. The Behavioral Services Clinical Manager provides clinical leadership and oversight of behavioral services across residential, vocational, and day program settings for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. This role supports the Behavioral Services team by supervising behavioral staff, ensuring high-quality and ethical implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and strengthening data-driven, person-centered practices throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of behavioral services across agency programs.
  • Provide Supervision of Clinical Managers operating out of agency Residential and Day Programs
  • Ensure consistent, ethical, and effective implementation of BSPs across all service areas
  • Monitor intervention quality and fidelity to best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Complete Functional Assessments, develop and author behavior plans
  • Data Management & Quality Improvement Oversee behavioral data collection, review, and analysis to inform clinical decisions
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation to support individual outcomes and program evaluation
  • Collaborate with the Director to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Use data to guide clinical recommendations and service adjustments
  • Training & Staff Development Develop and deliver training on BSP implementation, data collection, and ABA best practices
  • Mentor Behavioral Managers and Specialists to promote professional growth and consistency
  • Support staff in translating clinical recommendations into effective daily practice
  • Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Review BSPs, behavior data, and clinical documentation for quality and accuracy
  • Assist with maintaining clinical documentation systems and preparing for audits or reviews
  • Interdisciplinary & Stakeholder Collaboration Serve as a clinical liaison between Behavioral Services and other departments
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support coordinated, person-centered care
