About The Position

The BI Coordinator provides supervision to frontline staff employed in the Behavioral Interventionist program .

Requirements

  • M aster’s Degree (or Bachelor’s Degree plus two (2) years of experience working in non-profit social service agencies) in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field
  • Previous experience working with at-risk populations
  • Familiarity with the child welfare system
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems
  • Core understanding of program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills
  • Solid commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families
  • Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated cap ability to write clearly and persuasively
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Q uickly establish rapport and build trust
  • The aptitude to c ollaborate and advocate for positive outcomes, using excellent interpersonal skills in multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic professional teams

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for employee satisfaction within the In-Home Behavioral programs.
  • Strive to b uild a strong sense of team with in the department
  • Ensure frontline staff are given proper support and advocacy
  • Attend job fairs and promote direct-service staff openings
  • In collaboration with the Hiring C oordinator, conduct interviews , and participate in the on-boarding process
  • Plan and execute training for all new hires in the program
  • Coordinate, in collaboration with Family Coordinators, Program Manager , and the training department, training requirements and training opportunities and needs for direct-service staff
  • P repare and facilitate BI Monthly meetings
  • Collaborate with Family Coordinators and Directors to conduct client/staff matchings
  • Complete all Staff Profiles to be used for matching families with staff
  • Conduct individual phone supervisory conferences at least monthly, and face-to-face conferences quarterly, with the goal of on-going evaluation of the Behavioral Interventionists’ work product . Any noted concerns ( i.e. work performance or client issues) need to be communicated with the Program Manager within twenty-four (24) hours of report
  • Complete BIs 90-Day and Annual Evaluation processes
  • P rovide in-home observation shifts to BI staff every six (6) months
  • T rack all missed shifts and check shift note completion on a daily basis
  • P artnership with Family Coordinators to facilitate family/staff meetings as issues arise
  • Attend team meetings of clients when requested
  • P artnership with the Program Manager to complete necessary corrective actions and terminations
  • U pdate family/staff schedule in SAM , electronic health record to reflect hours being utilized as needed
  • Update and track empl oyee timecards in the payroll system
  • Provide support to Behavioral Interventionists during OHI Investigations
  • Participate as an active team member with colleagues of all demographics in order to effectively and efficiently serve clients
  • Maintain contact and relationship building with other partner agencies and community stakeholders
  • Maintain strong, open communication with colleagues and direct supervisor regarding services delivered, concerns or questions
  • Work collaboratively with branch office (s) to ensure program fidelity
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification
  • Attend trainings as for ongoing professional development
  • Complete agency reports and statistics as needed or assigned
  • Ensure procedures are in place to track and report program outcomes and quality assurance
  • Ensure all resource provider files are in compliance with requirements
  • P artnership with the Program Manager to complete Critical Incident Reports and reviews as necessary
  • P artnership with Family Coordinators to complete all Incident Report Reviews within 2 business days of an incident report being completed
