About The Position

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Behavioral Health Therapist Sr. who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Behavioral Health Therapist Sr., you will: • Conduct substance use assessments and consultations on inpatient psychiatric units using ASAM criteria to determine level of care recommendations. • Provide timely documentation and recommendations to the treatment team and assist with care coordination. • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions on adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric units, focusing on evidence-based interventions and recovery-oriented practices. • Support the Adult PHP program by providing consults and leading groups as needed based on census and patient needs. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and care navigators, to ensure integrated treatment planning. • Provide psychoeducation on substance use, relapse prevention, and coping strategies. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources for substance use and mental health services to support patient referrals. • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and quality improvement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, state regulations, and professional standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical social work experience, preferably in medical or behavioral health settings.
  • Current licensure as LCSW-C, LCPC, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in conducting substance use assessments with ASAM criteria.
  • Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience facilitating group therapy with adults and/or adolescents preferred.
