As a Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you’ll support daily programming, build therapeutic rapport, and help clients stay engaged and supported throughout their recovery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Previous experience in mental health or human services is a plus, but entry-level applicants are welcome.
  • Experience facilitating activities or groups is helpful but not required.
  • Professional, reliable, and clear communicator.
  • Compassionate engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong judgment, organization, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Team-oriented approach and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

  • Support new client admissions and assist with intake.
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communication logs.
  • Promote a safe, orderly, therapeutic environment—including crisis support when needed.
  • Lead or assist with group activities and therapeutic programming.
  • Complete required bed checks and shift documentation.
  • Ensure client schedules are followed throughout the day.
  • Monitor medication lines and assist with safety rounds.
  • Maintain strong professional boundaries at all times.
  • Follow treatment plan objectives and encourage client progress.
