As a Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you’ll support daily programming, build therapeutic rapport, and help clients stay engaged and supported throughout their recovery.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Previous experience in mental health or human services is a plus, but entry-level applicants are welcome.
Experience facilitating activities or groups is helpful but not required.
Professional, reliable, and clear communicator.
Compassionate engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Strong judgment, organization, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Team-oriented approach and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

Support new client admissions and assist with intake.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communication logs.
Promote a safe, orderly, therapeutic environment—including crisis support when needed.
Lead or assist with group activities and therapeutic programming.
Complete required bed checks and shift documentation.
Ensure client schedules are followed throughout the day.
Monitor medication lines and assist with safety rounds.
Maintain strong professional boundaries at all times.
Follow treatment plan objectives and encourage client progress.
