About The Position
Find your purpose and share your passion by helping patients at the St. Cloud Hospital as a Behavioral Health Technician! We understand how difficult things can be when life seems overwhelming. EmPATH is a dedicated healing environment separate from the emergency department, staffed with a multidisciplinary psychiatric team providing Emergency, Psychiatric, Assessment, Treatment, and Healing to those initially presenting to emergency rooms with mental health urgencies. Interested applicants should prefer working in a dynamic, team oriented, fast paced environment providing delegated behavioral health interventions to patients with acute mental health urgencies in an Observation setting. Applicants will also appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with our EmPATH team and various community partners involved in developing Community Treatment plans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Must be able to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and on-going training provided.
- Basic Life Support required and provided.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of college with courses in psychology, sociology, and/or social work preferred.
- Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role preferred.
