Position Overview: A Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct support and care to individuals with mental health, behavioral, or substance use disorders. They assist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient behavior, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. BHTs work closely with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help patients develop coping skills and achieve their treatment goals. Responsibilities may include observing and documenting patient progress, leading therapeutic activities, de-escalating crisis situations, and providing emotional support. Strong communication, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) required within 1 month of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred
