About The Position

If so, Embark at Springville invites you to join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician, a key role in our trauma-informed, residential treatment program for adolescent girls. Nestled in the serene beauty of Hobble Creek Canyon, Embark at Springville is more than a treatment center—we’re a healing community. We specialize in helping girls ages 12–17 navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics. Our approach is family-centered, evidence-based, and deeply relational.

Requirements

  • 21+ years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to learn CPR and First-Aid.
  • Comfortable responding to high-acuity behaviors, including verbal/physical outbursts and emotional dysregulation.
  • Strong emotional regulation and boundary-setting skills.
  • Willingness to learn! We understand not everyone has direct experience, but if you are skilled at boundaries, safety, and passionate about adolescent mental health, we encourage you to apply!

  • Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, residential, or crisis setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in following their daily routines and activities with structure and encouragement
  • Ensure alignment between student progress and individualized treatment plans developed by therapists
  • Intervene promptly and effectively during emotional or behavioral escalations to maintain safety and stability
  • Implement proactive crisis prevention strategies and provide crisis management when necessary
  • Maintain consistent and thorough documentation and reporting of client interactions and incidents
  • Uphold a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all clients
  • Engage in staff and house bonding activities to foster teamwork and community cohesion
  • Perform daily light housekeeping tasks (e.g., sweeping, tidying common areas, dishes) to maintain a clean and organized living space
  • Model positive behaviors and attitudes, reinforcing a healthy and constructive environment for clients
