Beacon Behavioral Partners is in search of dedicated and proficient Behavioral Health Technicians to provide support at The Maples in Crowley, TX. The Maples serves as a residential treatment program that addresses a range of medical and mental health issues for adolescent girls facing challenges such as trauma, disordered eating, and substance abuse. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional certifications or coursework in psychology, social work, or related fields are preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or behavioral disorders in a clinical or residential setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.
  • Support patients with basic life skills development (e.g., cooking, cleaning, and organization).
  • Monitor patients' behaviors, moods, and physical conditions, documenting observations accurately.
  • Report significant behavioral changes, incidents, or concerns to clinical staff and management.
  • Encourage patients to engage in therapeutic activities, including relaxation techniques, social interactions, and coping strategies.
  • Respond to emergencies or crisis situations, such as aggressive outbursts, self-harm, or mental health crises.
  • Use de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts and prevent harm to patients or others.
  • Enforce rules and guidelines regarding safety, behavior, and boundaries within the facility.
