About The Position

Make a Daily Impact: Behavioral Health Technician at Lou Masterman Center The Lou Masterman Center (LMC) Program LMC is a seven bed Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) that provides a high level of direct service and supports for individuals living with chronic mental health diagnoses (i.e., anxiety, bi-polar, depression, personality disorders, etc.) that often involve severe behavioral and emotional issues resulting in guardianship. What You'll Really Be Doing This is more than a checklist job-this is hands-on, person-to-person care. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals with complex mental health conditions gain the tools and structure they need to live more independent, empowered lives. Every day is a chance to help someone move forward. Here's What Your Day Might Look Like: Foster Safety & Healing: Create a calm, consistent environment rooted in trauma-informed care. Model Daily Living: Guide clients through real-life routines-cleaning, grooming, managing meds-and encourage autonomy. Teach & Coach: Support clients as they learn core life skills like anger management, emotional regulation, social communication, and stress reduction-all based on individualized treatment goals. Collaborate on Care: Work side-by-side with therapists, nurses, and other BHTs to ensure clients stay on track with treatment plans. Stay Vigilant: Conduct room and grounds checks, monitor for safety risks, and step in when a crisis arises-with calm, professional care. Provide Transportation: Help clients access appointments and community resources safely and reliably. Support Medication Safety: Distribute and document medication accurately and report any issues immediately. Keep It Professional: Complete detailed, timely documentation that meets clinical, state, and federal standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED/HSE required.
  • Must hold or obtain by start date, MO Class E Driver's License (Class D for IL Residents), and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to those with at least two years' experience in Healthcare or Mental Health field or with an undergraduate degree.
