We are looking for exceptional Behavioral Health Technicians to join our Intake/Admissions team! Job Description: Behavioral Health Technician-Day Shift The hours for this position are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 7:00PM TO 7:30AM The Intake Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) functions as an active and integral part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients.. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) will take and record vital signs properly. Monitor each patients location per the Observation Policy and Procedure. Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient's appearance, behavior or ability to work toward treatment plan goals. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years; or an Associate degree plus two years or work experience in a behavioral health; or a Bachelor’ s degree in social services or related field.
  • May work flexible hours and float to different units depending on the needs of the hospital
  • CPR certification upon hire and must be renewed on an annual basis.
  • Successful completion of (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures
