About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers. This position is for a Residential Manager/Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor at their new location opening in Norfolk, VA. The role involves providing day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engaging with clients to create a warm recovery environment, monitoring clients and enforcing policies for safety, recording and escalating critical communications/incidents, fulfilling administrative duties, and overseeing all Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) on shift while providing training and support. Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick is a 93-bed residential facility offering detox and inpatient rehabilitation services in a newly remodeled, inviting building with 24/7 medical and clinical team support, fostering an atmosphere of acceptance, hope, and healing.

Requirements

If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED
Valid Driver's license
CPR certification

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
Record and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
Oversee all BHTs on your shift and provide training and support
