About The Position

Join Our Team at Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. Valley-Wide Health Systems is seeking an Outpatient Behavioral Health Provider to deliver counseling and therapeutic services in a collaborative, patient-centered setting. This role supports individuals and families through assessment, treatment, and care coordination using evidence-based approaches as part of an integrated care team. Key Responsibilities Provide outpatient behavioral health services, including individual, family, couples, substance use, and group therapy within scope of licensure Conduct diagnostic assessments and screenings to determine appropriate levels of care and treatment needs Assess and respond to crises using appropriate clinical interventions Develop and implement individualized, biopsychosocial treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and care teams Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and psychotherapy aligned with organizational standard Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record in compliance with HIPAA, billing, and regulatory requirements Support patient stability and recovery through care planning and relapse prevention strategies Coordinate care and referrals with internal departments and external community partners Connect patients to services addressing social determinants of health, including community and support resources Participate in team meetings and collaborative activities supporting Valley-Wide’s integrated care model Build and maintain relationships with community providers, agencies, and stakeholders to support behavioral health services

Requirements

  • CAS (Certified Addiction Specialist) or a Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work
  • Current Colorado licensure as a Behavioral Health Provider (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD) or ability to obtain licensure in Colorado
  • Knowledge of behavioral health assessments, psychotherapy, crisis evaluation, and intervention
  • Familiarity with DSM-5 / ICD-10 diagnostic standards
  • Experience providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications (Word processing, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to collaborate across systems and build effective working relationships
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license with ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to pass a Behavioral Health background investigation

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Addiction Counselor or MA-level clinician with CAS preferred
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred
