About The Position

We are looking to expand our practice by adding a currently licensed clinical social worker, psychologist, or other licensed professional. We are looking for someone who has a client-focused approach to the treatment, serving individuals and families with general behavioral health needs, as well as focused needs related to alcohol and drug use, behavioral health crisis management, and working with marginalized populations. This role will support community integration and focus on whole person care. If you are skilled and experienced in helping individuals and family units work together to overcome serious problems and communicate better, this may be the right place for you. As a therapist in our center, you would be supporting a variety of clients on your caseload and providing therapy and other services to help them heal. Requirements

  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience working in clinical social work or related area
  • Experience with working with patients in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Current California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • May be a MSW and able to obtain LCSW within six (6) months of hire.
  • Master's Degree in Social work or counseling
  • Current CPR certification

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office – specifically Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and triage.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with physicians, management and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population, action oriented.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma informed treatment

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive psycho-social assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide short-term, and long-term counseling to a wide variety of outpatient clients in individual, couples, family and group settings.
  • Prepare concise and comprehensive documentation and reports.
  • Provide weekly counseling services to families and couples dealing with problems such as divorce, custody issues, abuse, mental illness and financial problems
