About The Position

Reporting to the Behavioral Health Program Director, the Behavioral Health Operations Manager, will be responsible for overseeing the operational and administrative aspects of our behavioral health (BH) department, including supervision of the care coordination team and management of external programs funded by Care Compass. This position will ensure smooth workflows, efficient scheduling, and effective onboarding in support of providing high quality, integrated BH services to members of the communities we serve, and the providers who serve them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health operations and applicable regulations; understanding of compliance and privacy requirements.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experience with data analysis, performance/quality improvement, and project management.
  • Experience with electronic health records and healthcare technology systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operational management of all Behavioral Health (BH) programs, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate departmental performance metrics (including productivity and quality measures), identifying trends, gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track quality, performance, and operational metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Support program planning and execution with leadership, aligning operational strategies with clinical goals and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee Behavioral Health Care Coordination (BHCC) program, ensuring effective coordination of care for patients with complex behavioral health needs.
  • Oversee BH Care Coordination operations, including workflows, documentation, and coordination for individuals with complex behavioral health needs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report BH program performance, outcomes, and key initiatives to the BH Director.
  • Coordinate Behavioral Health meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, action-item tracking, and attendance
  • Maintain and update departmental policies and procedures in partnership with the BH Director.
  • Partner with internal departments (e.g., Strategy, IT, Analytics, and Clinical teams) to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of behavioral health services.
