Position Summary Brave Space Alliance is searching for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to lead and oversee our behavioral health program. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience delivering comprehensive mental health services to LGBTQ+ clients and managing behavioral health teams. The successful candidate will bring expertise in case management, team leadership, and partnership development, ensuring high-quality, affirming care for historically underserved communities.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of mental health and behavioral disorders.

- Strong problem-solving skills for complex cases.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in behavioral health.
- Case management experience.
- Knowledge of patient rights and mental health laws.
- Familiarity with continuum of care and assessment/intervention skills.
- can be flexible with licensure attainment up until 1 year after initial date of employment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Illinois Mental Health Code and Confidentiality Act.
- Coordinate daily operations for assigned staff, including scheduling, staffing, problem-solving, and supervision.
- Serve as initial contact for customer service complaints and ensure timely follow-up.
- Participate in required in-service training and community seminars as directed by leadership.
- Assist in leading program retention initiatives and conduct monthly staff meetings.
- Stay current on trends, methods, and techniques in case management and counseling.
- Attend and complete agency training; share insights from external training with staff.
- Participate in committee or staff meetings as applicable.
- Maintain a professional image as a representative of Brave Space Alliance.
- Inform supervisor of any conditions impacting client safety and well-being; seek assistance as needed.
- Attend weekly individual supervision sessions to review progress, productivity, and concerns.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing program needs and schedules.
- Engage in professional growth and development; maintain knowledge of evidence-based practices.
- Oversee mental health staff in accordance with established standards.
- Coordinate timely patient placement within the program.
- Work on routine program-based projects as assigned by the Director.
