Summary of job: As a Behavioral Health Counselor- (High Engagement Team) You will be responsible for providing integrated treatment supporting the needs of both behavioral and physical health care to clients admitted to Berks Counseling Center. This would include clinical treatment modalities and supporting documentation. You will… Serve as an active member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Provide screening, assessment, and evaluation of potential clients. Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling. Effectively assess client treatment needs and develop a comprehensive individualized integrated treatment plan. Utilize collaborative documentation to complete clinical documentation that meets compliance standards, medical necessity
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related social service field.
- At least three (3) months direct counseling and substance abuse counseling experience (or relevant internship) preferred
- Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.
- CAC or other PCB Certification required within one year of employment.
- A valid PA Driver’s License and the ability to drive, travel, and provide community-oriented services.
Nice To Haves
- LCSW or LPC applicants with counseling experience in drug, alcohol, and mental health preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred.
- Be Bilingual: English/Spanish
