Requirements

  • Must have the following licenses: LMFT, LCSW, PsyD
  • Must be licensed for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Must have experience working with vulnerable populations and addiction treatment modalities.
  • Bilingual/biliterate in English and Spanish.
  • Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver’s license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Must obtain private malpractice liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary mental health evaluations for referred clients.
  • Conduct clinical surveys for the grant.
  • Formulate effective treatment plans utilizing various modalities of treatment.
  • Consult and work with other staff members, including the SLO-Hub Case Manager and Peer Support Specialist, and with community agencies in carrying out treatment plans, follow-up assessments and closing of cases.
  • Remain informed of new and appropriate behavior practices for dual-diagnosed clients. Attends trainings, when appropriate, to keep current regarding appropriate practices.
  • Have knowledge about resources in the community that will work in partnership with the client and the program.
  • Provide counseling services at Prado HSC, in recovery housing, and non-traditional non-clinic settings (i.e. community and when appropriate, client homes).
  • Gather and records various statistics and other information pertinent to the program. Provides SLO-Hub Data Analyst with all grant required data and statistics within the timeframe required.
  • Maintain case files and completes ongoing case documentation to monitor progress of each individual case, while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Responsible for completing accurate weekly activity schedule of all current client visits, timelines for documentation due, and other activities required.
  • Participate in required evaluation activities, including the quarterly self-reports.
