About The Position

Are you driven to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges? As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will provide compassionate, evidence‑based behavioral health services to emotionally disturbed and mentally ill patients. Working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, you will assess, treat, and support patients through psychoeducation and individual, family, and group therapy—helping them move toward stability, recovery, and improved quality of life. This role is ideal for a clinician who values collaboration, clinical excellence, and patient‑centered care across the continuum of behavioral health services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant human services field required (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related discipline) from an accredited graduate program
  • Associate licensure and/or certification from the appropriate state governing board required within six (6) months of employment
  • Successful completion of CPI and CPR training required within ninety (90) days of hire
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • Case management experience with the Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) population and/or experience working with substance use disorders preferred
  • Strong therapeutic communication skills required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with guardians, community agencies, and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient care needs and support continuity of care
  • Assess patients’ presenting problems, psychosocial needs, and level of functioning
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation
  • Provide treatment using a variety of therapeutic modalities and theoretical approaches aligned with current clinical standards
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy utilizing psychotherapeutic techniques and principles of human development
  • Establish and carry out appropriate clinical interventions and treatment strategies
  • Develop and implement discharge plans tailored to individual patient needs and manage the termination process
  • Provide patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice
  • Design, plan, and implement effective patient and family education
  • Manage clients in crisis while developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and consistent documentation of patient care and responses in the medical record
  • Present clinical cases during treatment team meetings in a clear, concise, and clinically relevant manner
  • Complete all documentation within facility‑established timeframes and coordinate discharge planning with the next provider
