About The Position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a Master’s-level clinician responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral support services to individuals with developmental disabilities, persistent mental illness, and/or significant behavioral or skill-acquisition challenges that impact independent living. This role provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, staff training, crisis intervention, and ongoing behavioral consultation using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The BCBA collaborates closely with residential staff, families, advocates, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safety, independence, and quality of life while ensuring full compliance with all ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or complex behavioral needs.
  • Active BCBA certification and applicable state licensure (required).
  • Behavioral crisis intervention and management
  • Knowledge of state and federal residential/group home regulations
  • Direct supervision in developmental disabilities services
  • Medication administration knowledge
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Budget awareness and basic financial oversight
  • Medical terminology familiarity
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, timekeeping, electronic documentation systems)
  • Valid non-provisional driver’s license and personal vehicle with state-required insurance
  • Successful completion of required employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or management experience in a residential or group home setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans.
  • Design and oversee behavior modification programs to reduce maladaptive behaviors and increase functional and independent living skills.
  • Provide direct behavioral intervention and on-call crisis assessment, intervention, and management (including responding via work mobile phone).
  • Model proactive, trauma-informed, and person-centered behavioral approaches.
  • Deliver consultation through observation, coaching, teaching, and performance feedback to staff using ABA principles.
  • Train staff and individuals in skill acquisition, behavior supports, and crisis prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, reports, and clinical records.
  • Maintain current BCBA certification and all required licensure.
  • Ensure behavioral services comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as agency policies and ethical standards.
  • Participate in internal and external inspections, audits, and interagency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support quality assurance, resident outcomes, and program improvement.
  • Represent the organization professionally in all interactions with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Residential Services to support program needs.
