Primary Responsibility is to assist the client and their families in progress toward specific goals by working one-on-one with the client. This person works cohesively with the Administrative and clinical staff involved with the client’s treatment plan. Behavior Therapist I works one-on-one with extensive data collection of the client’s progress. Behavior Therapist I provide services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. Behavior Therapist I demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Behavior Therapist I will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Behavior Therapist I reports to the Autism Supervisor and Clinical Director of the Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism. Education: A graduate from an accredited four (4) year college or university, or four (4) years’ experience delivering ABA services or equivalent. Work Experiences: Prefer prior experience with Applied behavior analysis, but not required.
