The GAP Behavior Technician (BT) supports young adults with autism to safely and successfully participate in the GAP center and community-based day program. The BT implements individualized treatment plans—Individualized Support Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP)—to build communication, social, academic, vocational, and daily living skills while decreasing challenging behaviors. The BT is responsible for collecting accurate data on client progress, supporting clients in various settings, and participating in team meetings as needed.
