They will focus on ensuring behavior technicians are properly implementing ABA techniques, collecting data properly and implementing behavior support plans. Additionally, the field trainer would be responsible for creating materials and ensuring LBAs, RBTs and BTs have the required materials prepared for client use. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

  • At least 7 years experience working in a behavioral setting (such as a clinic, school or home setting) and implementing behavior plans, using behavior support techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive and professional environment for behavior technicians
  • Assist LBA with the development of functional behavior assessments by collecting ABC data and assisting with preference assessments).
  • Teach skills to behavior technicians to ensure proper implementation of the treatment plan and Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Provide hands-on 1:1 training for behavior technicians, shadow them with clients in various settings (home, school or clinic).
  • Have an active role in the training of newly hired behavior technicians.
  • Utilize Behavior Skills Training (BST) to ensure staff are competent in implementing behavioral procedures outlined in the client’s behavior intervention plan.
  • Ensure data is and documentation is collected accurately.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
