Requirements

Computer skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
Communication: Oral and written

Minimum Degree Required: Associates Degree in Education, Criminal Justice, Mental Health or related field
Minimum Experience Required: At least 3-5 years in the development/implementation of behavioral support plans with individuals who have developmental disabilities and/or mental health concerns using Applied Behavior Analysis methodology.
Must demonstrate knowledge and competences in Applied Behavioral Analysis
NYS Driver’s License
TCI Trainer (must obtain within 6 months from start date)

Responsibilities

Lead and support School Age Behavior Support Technician Team with collecting, organizing and maintaining data for Functional Behavioral Assessments/Behavioral Intervention Plans and school wide behavior management plan
Supervisor School Age Behavior Technicians
Maintain data for Behavior Intervention Plans per school wide plan
Train classroom team on Behavior Intervention Plan implementation and other necessary data collection
Provide behavioral consultation to school age teams about student behavior
Provide crisis intervention for students.
Leads TCI training approaches and best-practice behavior methods for all school age behavior technician staff. Will also support training new staff and recertifying current staff in TCI.
Assist with the completion of reports.
Create an environment that is comfortable for being open and honest about views, feelings, and opinions
Share knowledge about the organizations culture and operating standards
Make introductions to people who can assist in both short and long term goals of the new behavior technicians
Motivate and encourage during new challenges, changes, or difficulties
Ability to objectively assess situations and interactions, and offer suggestions for growth and ongoing feedback.
Conduct all duties, responsibilities, and daily activities in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines requirements.
Will act on behalf of Behavior Support Team Coordinator
Any other duty as requested by your Supervisor.
