About The Position

PA Inclusive is an agency that believes people with disabilities should live where, with whom, and in what they want and that those who want to work can work in an area of their interest in a ‘typical’ job in the community. The agency helps people diagnosed with Autism and other behavioral disorders to reach their full potential by developing individualized plans and providing a highly-trained team to implement those plans with high fidelity. The Behavior Specialist oversees the Behavior Supports Program of the agency, including but not limited to treating individuals with emotional or behavioral problems and disorders and providing supervision to behavioral health technicians, etc. Description The Behavior Support Specialist will observe, assess, and treat individuals with emotional or behavioral problems and disorders such as depression, anxiety, addiction, autism, ADHD, OCD, etc. The Behavioral Specialist will develop and implement treatment plans, maintain progress reports, and provide support to the patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavior Analysis, Counseling, Special Education, or related field.
  • Copies of ODP Trainings using Functional Behavior Assessments and Positive Behavior Supports.
  • Experience and direct contact with clients and individuals with special needs.
  • Strong working knowledge of behavioral theory and applied behavior analysis.
  • Understanding of the characteristics and behaviors associated with disorders.
  • Ability to handle intense emotional situations.
  • Ability to apply behavioral principles.
  • Excellent stress management and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership skills, mentoring and coaching of staff skills are required.
  • Goal-oriented, outcomes tracking ability and deliverable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and bedside manner.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and as a member of a team.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.
  • Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances.
  • Must not be on excluded lists from State of PA Exclusion Lists for similar industries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to address behavioral issues.
  • Supporting clients throughout the treatment process.
  • Communicating with client’s team and families to implement treatment plans.
  • Monitoring and recording treatment progress.
  • Conducting assessments to determine client’s improvements.
  • Maintaining records and treatment reports.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare specialists and support organizations.
  • Attend training programs, certificates, conferences, and meetings as directed.
  • Travelling to branch offices in other regions maybe required.
  • Other works related to Behavior Supports Program.
