About The Position

HeartShare is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behavior Support Coach to join our special education team. In this role, you will work with students ages 5-21 to support their behavioral development in a nurturing environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED Required
  • Previous experience in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy with students Required
  • Strong understanding of behavior management principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficient in developing and implementing behavior support plans
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or equivalent Preferred
  • Experience in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom modifications and behavior management strategies
  • Train ABA staff in assessments, DTT, NET, and data collection
  • Assist in developing and reviewing ABA programs and behavior plans
  • Coach staff on implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Conduct behavior observations and data collection (ABC, frequency, duration)
  • Create classroom materials (visual aids, token boards, PECS, etc.)
  • Provide consultation and crisis support; respond to emergency interventions
  • Cover classrooms when teacher aides are absent
  • Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings
  • Ensure compliance with CPSE and agency policies
  • Collaborate with BCBA, behavior staff, and leadership
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and analyze data
  • Develop and adjust individualized BIPs based on observations
  • Implement and reinforce behavior strategies in individual and group settings
  • Support students and staff during behavioral interventions
  • Train and coach families and staff on consistent behavior strategies
  • Document behavior progress, complete reports, and maintain records
  • Master agency software systems and tools
