We are hiring for a full-time Behavior Specialist to develop, train and model evidence-based positive behavior support practices with a focus on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What does this role entail? Behavior Specialists / Professionals will model, teach, and provide positive behavioral intervention to children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health needs. All supports use a person-centered approach with an emphasis on empowering each individual. This role also involved providing consultation to individuals, families and support teams on the least intrusive strategies and address impeding behavior while maintaining safety. It also provides support to RISE programs and staff through the implementation of our RISE Mission, Vision and Values while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Who are we? RISE is a non-profit organization that specializes in home and community-based support services for children and adults with developmental and other disabilities, children with mental health challenges, and aging adults.
