About The Position

BEHAVIOR COORDINATOR An employee in this position would be responsible for designing, implementing, training, providing on-going supports for modification in the area of behavior ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Behavioral Services, examples of the responsibilities would include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: Designing, implementing, training and providing on-going supports of for modification in the area of behavior and writing intervention plans in coordination with the Director of Behavioral Services, CSC, BCBA, and COS’s. Sitting on the Human Rights Screening Committee , assessing rights restrictions, and completing reviews of restrictions. Preparing, developing and maintaining necessary reports and records Serving as an advocate representative for people receiving services. Assist in developing proactive strategies to reduce the need for crisis intervention. Assure that plans have assessments to support the restrictions and conditions under which the person will have more control over the restriction. Preparing and delivering assessments to test the validity of the restrictions. Collect data based off of FBA’s, BIP’s, and recommendations. Serving as liaison representative with local, state, and regional agencies whose stated purpose affects people receiving services or Kalix Other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related client services.
  • The selected candidate must also be able to complete 40 hours of training in behavior analysis as part of the role.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities and other related conditions.
  • Knowledge of behavioral principles and procedures.
  • Demonstrated professional interviewing and treatment techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, and other agency personnel or practitioners.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal applicants will possess a Master’s degree and Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of paid experience in a position with comparable responsibilities.
