About The Position

The Clinician I will serve as a member of the Habilitative Skill Building (HSB) team. Individuals receiving services through the HSB program are usually adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or similar developmental disabilities and present with significant behavioral challenges. Individuals served may also be a part of the Community Protection Program with criminal histories. The Clinician I will run programming in client homes, work with clients in the clinical suite, and facilitate community outings. The Clinician I will operate under the direction of Clinicians II/III and/or the Tacoma Clinical Services Manager to implement programs, education, and staff training as defined by each individual’s support plan. Use principles of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and implement positive behavior supports to help individuals meet their goals, build skills, and improve their quality of life Plan and attend social events out in the community for individuals in the program Provide coaching and support to direct care staff and members of the operations team. Work directly with in home staff to provide support to individuals in behavioral crises. Maintain accurate documentation, write reports and case notes using Therap, Microsoft Excel, and OneDrive; complete progress reports on monthly basis Communicate and coordinate with outside providers (therapists, etc.) and clients' families. Attend clinical team meetings and operations meetings as requested by supervisor

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience providing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) in a role such as behavior technician, paraprofessional/paraeducator, etc.
  • Experience with implementing positive behavior supports for individuals with I/DD required
  • Valid driver's license with ability to use personal vehicle on the job required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive
  • Must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work independently to problem-solve effectively
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
