About The Position

At Dungarvin, a mission-driven team established in 1976, the focus is on providing person-centered support services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or other complex medical needs across 15 states. The organization emphasizes respect, response, and choice, aiming to help people live as independently as possible. The Behavior Analyst role involves developing and implementing programs and services to address behavioral and social problems in adult persons served. This includes designing and monitoring systems for challenging behaviors, participating in interdisciplinary teams, providing assessments and intervention strategies, assisting primary healthcare providers, collecting and reporting data, and developing staff and caregiver training. The role also involves assisting with community resource location and frequent observation of persons served, staff interactions, and the environment.

Requirements

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Graduate student who is enrolled in an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, nursing or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of behavior modification intervention services with adults.
  • Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related clinical field or Graduate student who is enrolled in an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, nursing or a closely related field.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining high clinical standards.
  • A valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design programs and Implement/monitor systems that support people who are engaging in challenging behaviors.
  • Participate as a team member in order to facilitate enriched quality of life, desired lifestyles, increased levels of independence and productivity, and social/physical integration.
  • Review behavioral staff reports/plans.
  • Participate as a member of our professional interdisciplinary team which provides assessments, intervention strategies, and consultation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating behavioral and social problems
  • Data collection, tracking and reporting; use expertise with populations of mental health and cognitive impairments
  • Develop and implement training for staff and caregivers
  • Attend and participate in meetings and quality improvement activities as required
  • Assist the support team in locating and obtaining community resources which are available to the persons served and their families
  • Frequently observe person served, staff interactions, the environment and the implementation of supports and services during and outside of normal business hours
