The Behavior Analyst will develop and implement programs and services to remediate behavioral and social problems for adult persons served.

Requirements

  • Option 1: BCBA Certification: Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
  • Option 2: Masters Degree in Social Work Education: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Graduate student who is enrolled in an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, nursing or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of behavior modification intervention services with adults.
  • General Requirements (all candidates): Education: Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related clinical field or Graduate student who is enrolled in an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, nursing or a closely related field.
  • Core Skills: Strong analytical, administrative, and interpersonal skills. You must be able to work collaboratively while maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Logistics: A valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design programs and Implement/monitor systems that support people who are engaging in challenging behaviors.
  • Participate as a team member in order to facilitate enriched quality of life, desired lifestyles, increased levels of independence and productivity, and social/physical integration.
  • Review behavioral staff reports/plans.
  • Participate as a member of our professional interdisciplinary team which provides assessments, intervention strategies, and consultation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating behavioral and social problems
  • Data collection, tracking and reporting; use expertise with populations of mental health and cognitive impairments
  • Develop and implement training for staff and caregivers
  • Attend and participate in meetings and quality improvement activities as required
  • Assist the support team in locating and obtaining community resources which are available to the persons served and their families
  • Frequently observe person served, staff interactions, the environment and the implementation of supports and services during and outside of normal business hours
