The Bed Control Coordinator manages the flow of admitted patients.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Proficient with Bed Board and Sunrise programs.
Maintains heart saver certification.
Must have one year of experience with the admissions process in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with administrative supervisors, charge nurses, E.D. Navigator and transportation dispatcher to ensure
appropriate and timely patient placement.
Will perform continuous surveillance of the patient care units identifying discharges, bed assignments and transfers.
Maintains open communication with all units to ensure efficient and appropriate patient throughput.
Monitors and maintains Bed Board at all times.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
