About The Position

The Beauty Counter Manager in the Nordstrom Beauty Department plays a dual role as a salesperson and teacher, focused on maximizing sales for assigned beauty brands like Laura Mercier & Clinique. This role involves creating personalized beauty experiences for customers, collaborating with team members to foster an inclusive environment, and achieving sales goals using both in-store and digital tools. The manager is also responsible for scheduling and executing vendor events, building strong vendor relationships, maintaining department organization and cleanliness, and staying updated on beauty trends and products through training. Additionally, the role includes managing sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and building customer loyalty through the Nordstrom Rewards program.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer’s beauty goals
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers
  • Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals, utilizing both in-store and digital selling tools (inclusive of text and social media)
  • Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
  • Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
  • Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners
  • Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts
