About The Position

BEAM Circular is unlocking the power of communities to transform waste into opportunity by building a vibrant regional ecosystem for the circular bioeconomy in California’s agricultural heartland. Anchored in the North San Joaquin Valley (NSJV), we facilitate collaboration through the BioEconomy, Agriculture, & Manufacturing (BEAM) Initiative to scale the most promising innovations in bioindustrial manufacturing. Our work spans innovation, access to capital, infrastructure readiness, talent development, and cross-sector partnerships that generate economic and environmental value for local communities. We are a mission-driven, collaborative, and solutions-oriented team that values curiosity, partnership, transparency, and a bias toward action. BEAM Circular is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. The Opportunity Stanislaus – BEAM Business Development Fellow will support the Vice President of Business and Economic Development at BEAM Circular in developing commercial relationships with supplier networks, customer pathways, and service-provider ecosystems that emerging and established biomanufacturing companies need to grow in the North San Joaquin Valley (NSJV). Hosted by Opportunity Stanislaus, the Fellow will leverage regional business development platforms and networks to identify and cultivate a diverse ecosystem of companies—including upstream suppliers, downstream customers and offtakers, logistics partners, engineering firms, technical service providers, and corporate innovation groups. The Fellow will report to the CEO of Opportunity Stanislaus, while work priorities and performance under the Statement of Work (SOW) will be directed by BEAM Circular’s Vice President of Business and Economic Development. This is an ideal role for a natural connector—someone who excels at business development, partnerships, and ecosystem building, and who thrives in dynamic, multi-sector environments where cross-organizational collaboration is essential.
