Training and Experience: Two (2) years experience working within a Club/Resort environment with one (1) year minimum as a supervisor/manager; valid state driver’s license. Must have CPR and First Aid Certification. Job Knowledge: Working knowledge of entire Beach Reception, Beach Rentals & Concessions operation. Understanding of operating budgets. JOB SUMMARY: Direct the daily operations of the Beach Reception, Beach Rentals & Concessions to include: ensuring the finest level of service and highest quality of facility is provided for our members & guests. Promoting fitness within the Club/Resort operation in an effort to maximize revenues for the department. Hiring and terminating employees. Providing training support for Beach Rentals and Beach Reception staff. Administer payroll and scheduling for department under the direction of the Director of Surf Club. Physical Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate with the members & guests. Must be able to move about entire property, insuring top quality appearance and service. Capable of moving, carrying and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Requirements

Two (2) years experience working within a Club/Resort environment with one (1) year minimum as a supervisor/manager
Valid state driver’s license
Must have CPR and First Aid Certification
Working knowledge of entire Beach Reception, Beach Rentals & Concessions operation
Understanding of operating budgets
Ability to effectively communicate with the members & guests

Responsibilities

Be punctual at all times.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends and holidays.
Arrive to work on time, consistently, and in uniform.
Must set a proper example in personal appearance, including appropriate dress and personal hygiene.
Develop and monitor the efficient operation of the Beach Rentals operation.
Establish high standards and continually monitor cleanliness, appearance and repair of all rental equipment inventoried. Equipment including but not limited to Daybeds, Chairs, Umbrellas, Beach Games, Recreational Rentals, etc.
Ensure a high standard of appearance and service among members and guest contact personnel.
Recommend to the Manager and Director of Surf Club Operations needs for equipment repair and replacement.
Keeping up to date with current business trends, weather patterns, implementing positive change that meet the Club’s standards.
Greeting members and guests by name whenever possible. Make every effort to learn names of familiar members and guests. See that their requests are executed as completely and promptly as possible.
Handle complaints and feedback from members and guests regarding service and Club functions and inform Manager and Director of Surf Club Operations of special situations. Study complaints in light of member/guest desires and correcting same where required.
Work with Manager and Director of Surf Club Operations regarding employee performance reviews.
Hold staff meetings, keeping all personnel informed of policies concerning member and personnel interaction and provide a safe work environment. Attend any required departmental or safety meetings.
Maintain high sanitation and safety standards by training and working daily with staff.
Execute the general responsibilities common to all managers in minimizing the cost of operation and safeguarding the property and reputation of the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.
Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Director of Surf Club Operations.
Report any safety hazards, follow up to be sure the hazard has been corrected and assist with providing a safe work environment.
Maintain all logs and files for Beach Rentals
Attend training in first aid and CPR procedures.
Become knowledgeable and keep updated on Material Safety Data Sheets, Standard of Procedures, and any software’s you may be asked to use. Follow all safety procedures.
Keep work area clean, including desk, back of house spaces/ closets, surrounding deck and beach areas.
Work in collaboration with the Lifeguard leadership to maintain cleanliness of the beach and shared areas/ equipment when necessary.
During non-peak times, the Beach Rentals Supervisor is expected to assist in other areas of the Surf Club, including but not limited to Beach Reception, Public Areas, or any duties relating to the Manager/ Director of Surf Club.
