About The Position

BDR Sales Representative The BDR Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining a strong retail focus to align with all company sales objectives, including but not limited to Volume, Distribution, Share of Market, and Customer Service. The BDR is responsible for growing our entire portfolio within their On Premise accounts. The BDR Sales Representative reports to the Pre-Sell Supervisor. This BDR sales route covers the Huntington-Bethpage- Floral Park-Great Neck area. Primary Objectives: Sales Functions Call Frequency Responsible for regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts primarily to sell volume, increase distribution of package and draft products, and merchandise accounts. Consultative Information Based Selling Techniques Selling Product Features and Benefits Styles of Products POS sell in Profit Margin Analysis Sales Execution Delivering against Volume targets Achieving Distribution / New Package/draft/W&S gains Achieve Monthly Point Sheet Objectives Executing Supplier / Company Programs Market Execution New Draft Distribution – Fair Share of Taps New Package Distribution – both beer and wine & spirits Sell in Price Features Glassware and Coasters to Promote our Brands Properly Merchandise Account Base Establishing measures to prevent Out of Stocks. Responsible for daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, changes in climate, competitive activity and special promotional activities. Key Customer Planning Establishing / Maintain Relationships Build business relationships with GROW sales process and present professional sales presentations using sales histories. Creating localized plans to drive growth Understanding the target consumer by account Meeting Key Customers Needs PTC (Price to the Consumer) Management Managing the appropriate Price based on Cost of Goods Driving aggressive features based on Margin Portfolio / Brand and Product Knowledge Develop strong understanding of our brands/styles Pitch total CR product portfolio, both beer and wine & spirits On Premise Chain Store Knowledge Know All Mandated Draft and Package Items Pricing Knowledge Administrative Functions Communication and Customer Service: Frequent communication with direct line manager and sales team Responsible for daily paperwork and proper completion of all company documents Responsible for the proper communication of company credit and accounts receivable processes. Work with Credit Department to resolve credit issues including collecting past due balances. Provide feedback to management regarding promotional activities, market data and competitive activity. The BDR Sales Representative assumes other responsibilities as assigned by Pre Sell Sales Supervisors, Sales Director, VPSM, and ownership. These responsibilities and objectives include but are not limited to: Attendance Expectations Quality Image and Appearance Professionalism Development of the BDR Sales Position A BDR Sales Representative with proper development can expect opportunities to move into roles such as Pre Sell Sales Supervisor. Additional opportunities may exist in movement to the Operations Department, KAM Department and other segments. Product Knowledge – Must understand the entire Clare Rose Portfolio Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Continued education programs when necessary. Sales Certification Training GROW Sales Process M360 / Encompass Training Salary $50,000 - $55,000 annual base salary (based on experience) Available PFP $18,000 Mileage Developed knowledge and experience in sales and company objectives. Excellent oral and written communications skills (Interacts well with Internal & External Customers) Above Average Presentation Skills Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent computer skills in all sales programs. Excellent organizational skills. Enthusiastic, team player interested in positive company growth. Clean, Valid NYS Driver’s License Education and Experience A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Marketing is requested. A minimum of some college course work completed is required. A minimum of 3-5 years sales or applicable experience is required. BDR Sales Representatives are required to possess and maintain a New York State Solicitor Permit for the purpose of peddling alcoholic products. BDR Sales Representative must demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
