In this role, you will be responsible for software validation tests of battery packs in vehicles and battery level functional checks during vehicle level testing. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our battery systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software validation principles and testing methodologies applied to battery system development.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or industrial technology, or closely related subject
  • 2 years of experience working with battery or Battery Management System (BMS) technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software and hardware validation testing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of battery test equipment, LabVIEW, and data acquisition systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data processing using Python
  • Experience with high voltage systems
  • Experience with communication protocols, CAN-FD and CAN over Ethernet
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software validation tests of battery packs in vehicles and battery level functional checks during vehicle level testing.
  • Operate and maintain battery testing equipment (e.g., battery cyclers, environmental chambers, data acquisition systems).
  • Analyze test data and generate detailed reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement new test methodologies and automation scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams to provide feedback on battery performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all test data, procedures, and reports.
  • Follow and enforce all lab safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean workspace
  • During peak validation periods expect up to 25% travel.
