About The Position

We have an immediate opening in our batching department for a batching coordinator. The batching coordinator assists in all areas of the batching department’s administrative responsibilities, including date entry, inventory management & supply ordering.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of secondary education in an applicable area of study (Biology, Food Science, Chemistry, Data Processing, Inventory Management, etc).
  • Possess excellent communication, planning and multi-taking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and computer skills required.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in practical, hands-on batching work that has encompassed all facets of the batching process or production-oriented data entry and inventory management a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Order, receive and inventory batching trap filter bags & supplies.
  • Assign and enter cleaning date in the master cleaning schedule.
  • Data entry into Manage 2000 and various spreadsheets on a daily basis.
  • File complete batch sheets.
  • Assist with SOP creation and modification.
  • Assist with audit functions as needed.
  • Assist Central Receiving Coordinator with ingredient inventories, rotation of inventory to help ensure ingredients are used within expiration dates, report expiration dates and communicate to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure that expired materials are put on hold in a timely manner as to not disrupt production and inform team of any potential holds before production.
  • Label ingredient containers with any updated expiration dates and communicate to management.
  • Make inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Perform post-production inventory to ensure inventory counts are kept accurate for purchasing and customer success.
  • Separate and label ingredients for different customers to ensure the correct ingredients are being used for the right customer.
  • Assign lot numbers to specific materials pre-stage in FEFO.
  • Assist stagers in finding specific lot numbers for production, and all staging related tasks.
  • Create list of ingredients that are held on refrigerated trailers and distribute to the stagers.
  • Assist opposite shift coordinator with any tasks that are not completed.
  • Communicate with the purchasing, production scheduling, accounting, packaging, quality assurance and maintenance departments as necessary to accomplish all tasks.
