About The Position

Gregory Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Batch Plant Loader Operator to support our mobile concrete batch plant operations throughout Louisiana and Texas. This role is essential to maintaining efficient concrete production by safely operating a front-end loader, managing aggregate materials, and supporting overall batch plant operations. ⚠️ This is a traveling position. Candidates must be willing and able to mobilize, demobilize, and relocate with the batch plant as projects are completed and new projects begin. Per diem is provided when working away from home, in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience operating a front-end loader
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability and willingness to travel for projects
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely climb on and off equipment
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Attention to detail in material handling and production support
  • Reliability and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work effectively with plant and field personnel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a concrete batch plant, quarry, or construction environment
  • OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training

Responsibilities

  • Operate a front-end loader to load aggregate bins, hoppers, and stockpiles accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain continuous material flow to meet batch plant production demands
  • Support batching operations and assist the Batchman as needed
  • Monitor aggregate moisture, cleanliness, and consistency
  • Build, maintain, and manage aggregate stockpiles
  • Prevent cross-contamination and material segregation
  • Ensure proper material handling to maintain quality standards
  • Assist with batch plant setup, teardown, relocation, and demobilization
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
  • Conduct documented pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, cleaning)
  • Report equipment issues, material shortages, or safety concerns immediately
  • Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA, MSHA (if applicable), and company safety policies
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Wear required PPE at all times and maintain strong jobsite awareness
