About The Position

The Basketball Instructor/Official is a critical role on any field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day. We are currently hiring for our Spring season at the following venue: Maywood Middle School (Saturdays): 4/25 to 6/13, except Memorial Day weekend

Requirements

Excellent communication skills (Email, text, verbal, written). Responsiveness is critical.
Sports officiating, playing or coaching experience is a must.
Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and trustworthiness.
Situational awareness, attention to detail and critical thinking.
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as a team.
Commit to working for the full duration of the 7-week season.
Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.

Responsibilities

Study and enforce i9 Sports rules and safety for all players.
Instruct players during practice using age-appropriate practice plans developed by i9 Sports.
Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
