About The Position

Apex Entertainment is seeking talented and outgoing Bartenders to join their team in Marlborough. The role requires individuals passionate about mixology, who thrive in high-energy environments, and enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests. Responsibilities include crafting a variety of cocktails, beers, and beverages with speed and accuracy, following recipes, and providing knowledgeable recommendations. Bartenders are expected to ensure responsible alcohol service, create a welcoming atmosphere, share menu knowledge, and handle guest inquiries professionally. The position also involves maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar, performing opening and closing duties, ensuring health and safety standards, and assisting other staff. Flexibility is key, as the role requires anticipating guest needs, supporting special events, and taking on tasks assigned by management. Strong communication and a positive attitude are essential for teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Solid cash handling experience
Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods
Availability to work flexible hours - nights, weekends, and holidays required

Nice To Haves

Event bartending experience is a plus
Ability to multitask and remain cool under pressure

Responsibilities

Mix a variety of cocktails, beers, and beverages with speed, skill, and accuracy
Follow established recipes while adding your own flair when appropriate
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on drinks, spirits, and pairings
Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption
Create a fun, welcoming environment where every guest feels like a regular
Share your knowledge of our menu and drink offerings
Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm
Engage with patrons to make their visit memorable - every time
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking and inventory checks
Ensure all health and safety standards are met
Help out wherever needed - from answering phones to assisting servers
Be tuned in to what's happening around the facility to anticipate guest needs
Step into special events, private parties, or corporate gatherings as needed
Be ready to take on any tasks assigned by management to support the team
Communicate clearly with fellow staff and leadership
Maintain a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced setting
Support your teammates to ensure smooth service throughout every shift
