About The Position

Apex Entertainment is seeking a talented and outgoing Bartender to join their team at Apex Entertainment Marlborough. The ideal candidate is passionate about mixology, thrives in a high-energy environment, and enjoys creating memorable experiences for guests. This role involves expertly mixing a variety of cocktails, beers, and other beverages, adhering to established recipes while also having the opportunity to add personal flair. The Bartender will provide knowledgeable recommendations on drinks and pairings, and ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption. A key part of the role is delivering an exceptional guest experience by fostering a fun and welcoming atmosphere, sharing menu knowledge, handling inquiries professionally, and engaging with patrons. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, performing opening and closing duties, conducting inventory checks, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met. The position requires flexibility to assist with various tasks, including answering phones and supporting servers, being aware of facility happenings to anticipate guest needs, and stepping in for special events, private parties, or corporate gatherings as required. The successful candidate will be a true team player, communicating clearly with staff and leadership, maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting, and supporting teammates to ensure smooth service throughout every shift.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Solid cash handling experience
Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods
Availability to work flexible hours - nights, weekends, and holidays required
Ability to multitask and remain cool under pressure

Event bartending experience is a plus

Help out wherever needed - from answering phones to assisting servers
Be tuned in to what's happening around the facility to anticipate guest needs
Step into special events, private parties, or corporate gatherings as needed
Be ready to take on any tasks assigned by management to support the team
Communicate clearly with fellow staff and leadership
