About The Position

Newport Racing & Gaming is a gaming and entertainment facility located in Newport, Kentucky, featuring over 400 popular, thrilling, state-of-the-art Vegas-style games, sports wagering, restaurant and simulcast.JOB SUMMARY The Bartender is responsible for ensuring that all guests are provided a memorable experience in our event spaces. Each team member ensures that the bar is clean, organized and the event space is ready on time for each event.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. Requirements

Knowledge of all bar equipment and micros cash registers.
Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
Maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
Oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure demands.
Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license

Nice To Haves

Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares drinks correctly at the bar and or VIP Lounge for guests.
Assisting with the cleaning of the bar area and assisting with inventory maintenance.
Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests
Responsible to perform “responsible alcohol service” with regards to patron limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training.
Other duties as assigned.
